Now Introducing!

Its hard to believe it's already been a week since I brought these itsy bitsy kitties home!  For the first two days they wanted nothing to do with me really.  Now I can't keep them off of me!  I walk around the house with them on my shoulders like little parrots (with very sharp claws!). And once their motors started running, I knew there was nothing else I could name them.

So I am happy to introduce Porche, Bentley, and Mercedes!
They are, like most kittens, adapting well and growing oh-so-fast!  They have already graduated from their kitten gruel to big-kitty food (by their own choice).  Although, eating from a dish is still a bit challanging.  They much more prefer me to spoon feed them.  No, they aren't spoiled in the least!

When I get up in the morning, or come home from work, Mercedes is always on the top of their kitty-condo box yelling for me.  Then, when I open the door, she literally leaps at me.  She is one very social kitty.  No fear.

Porche is not far behind.  Ready to climb my leg at a moments notice.

Bentley is still a little shy, but he will come over to me now.  He doesn't like being picked up so much, but he does enjoy burying himself in my hair.

Sweeties- all of them

Got Milk?

The new beebees will eat on their own, but they only seem to do so when mama's in the room.  So, because we want them to grow up big, fat...er...I mean fast, and strong, they are being syringe-fed some "kitten gruel."  It's a wonderfully smelly combination of kitten formula and seafood flavored wet cat food.  Delish!  At least the kittens think so.  They're still working on their syringe sucking technique though, and so feeding is a particularly messy project.  Forget the milk moustache, these kitties are sporting the full milk beard!

Yum!  Time for a little post-feeding cleaning on the cat post!

And finally, wiggle it all together so you have a nice seafood milkshake!

It's raining cats!

Yes, kitten season is definitely here!  Mama brought home a batch from the humane society today.  Triplets!  Three little darling tabby babies!  The last kittens we had were already pretty big when we got them, so I had forgotten how small they can be.  And no mom, so we will have to give them a little extra love (like we wouldn't anyways!).  They're pretty shy.  One hissed at mom when she picked him up...mom tried not to laugh.  Have you ever seen a few week old kitten hiss?  Not the least bit scary.  But she also got one purring in her arms, so there may be hope for them yet!

Here are some preliminary pictures.  They dont have names...yet. I think there are two girls and a boy, but don't quote me on that!

Super-Bryce's Kryptonite

Bryce is such a sweet, affectionate, loving guy.  Mama's tried everything to ruffle his feathers, but no matter what you do, he just purrs contentedly away.  Until the catnip container came out.  She found his weakness!  One whiff of that stuff, and Bryce's wild-side came out!  For some reason I couldn't upload them straight to this page, so they are on YouTube.  The quality is not nearly as good, but I think you will still get the point.

Enjoy!

Part Two: Sparkle Ball Soccer

I know I promised y'all this yesterday, but blogging is harder than you think when you have no thumbs.  I think I got it all figured out now, though!

And he cooks too!

Who doesn't want a man who can cook??

Here's Bryce making biscuits on the spot he claimed as his...until he gets distracted by the neighbor's cat.

Tomorrow: Catnip!

Loverboy

So, Bryce spent the first night in our house.  I can hear him cry sometimes in the other room.  Mama says he's really a sweetheart.  Turns out he loves looking out the window and playing soccer with sparkle balls.

Some more pictures for your viewing pleasure!

Seriously, how could you not love this guy??

Let's hear it for the boy!

Mama brought home a new foster.  I hear he's a boy and he's all grown up.  It's been a while since we've had a man in the house, and I'm very excited to meet him.  But mama says I have to wait.  She says he's really handsome, and has been at the shelter for a while, so he's here on a "vacation."  Hopefully someone will fall in love with him soon and take him home.  He sounds like a nice fellow!

Name: Bryce
Color: Black Tabby
Age: 7
Hobbies: Purring, cuddling, and swatting at the toys that are in arm's reach.

Please spread the word! If you know of anyone who is looking for a good lap cat, Bryce is your man!

Good-Bye Fatso and Spot!

My mom hates when I call them that, but grandma said it was ok, so I'm going to do it anyways.

Mom took our latest foster babies, Angora and Cashmere, back to the Humane Society today.  She said they got to go home together, which is good.  I hope they write!  I was just starting to enjoy them!  My favorite game was hiding up at the top of the cat tree and waiting to ambush them when they raced up it.  I could reach through the little hole at the top and swat at them before they even knew what was happening.
Now the only people I have to play with are my sisters, and they aren't very much fun.  Hopefully mom will bring home some new babies soon!  But for now I will leave you with this cute video I shot of them playing with Mezoti's purple thing.
(Ok, actually mom shot it.  I didn't want to break a nail trying to press the buttons on the camera!)
